The Seaway Valley Community Health Centre (CHC) is accepting applications for Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) and Registered Nurses (RN) interested in all capacities, casual, part-time and full-time.
Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) and Registered Nurses (RN)
Responsibilities: As a member of the inter-professional team, RPNs and RNs assist in the delivery of primary care services, community outreach, Ontario Telemedicine services, education and promoting healthy lifestyle choices for the residents of the community. They participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and services for individuals, families and the community, functioning interdependently with the other members of the Inter-professional team within a health promotion framework.
Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in current nursing and practices of community-based care. Three to five years experience in a community setting. Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation is an asset. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multi-professional team environment with both medical and non-medical personnel. Sensitivity to the needs of the disadvantaged and experience with a diverse population. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Proficiency in working in a computerized environment is required and experience working with electronic client records would be considered a strong asset.
