Volunteering at the SVCHC
How Volunteers Help
Volunteers support and lead programs in partnership with the Seaway Valley Community Health Centre.
Volunteering helps to grow strong communities, promotes personal growth, and improves mental wellness. It’s a way to give back and make a difference.
We are currently seeking volunteers for our Balance for Life, Community Garden and Nutrition Programs!
Improving strength and balance while providing education to increase independence, safety and a greater sense of wellbeing.
We’re now seeking instructors and support volunteers in Winchester and Long Sault!
Volunteers lead and support the program so that participants can enjoy a healthy, safe and fun social experience.
Providing support for our 2SLGBTQ+ community.
Improving quality of life
Positive social interaction, friends, conversation and a healthy lunch.
As a first point of contact for our Community Health and Wellness programs
Our volunteer Board of Directors ensures that SVCHC is governed by the community it serves.
Volunteers are an important part of the SVCHC team. As such, it is recognized that the best way for the Centre to achieve its goals is through the active collaboration and teamwork of salaried staff and volunteer citizens in the community.
Working together, the entire team increases its footprint to offer a larger number of programs and services to support the health and wellbeing of local people. In short, the ultimate goal of volunteer services is to provide a rewarding volunteer experience while striving to fulfill the organization’s mission.
